Church Audio & ViSUAL Systems You Can Depend On

Is Your AV Setup Supporting Worship — or Disrupting It?

When technology distracts, worship suffers.

Many churches struggle with audiovisual systems that weren’t designed for the realities of live worship. If any of these sound familiar, you’re not alone:

  • Crackling, popping, or inconsistent sound during services

  • Lyrics or sermon visuals that are dim, blurry, or hard to read

  • Congregants missing key moments because they can’t hear or see clearly

  • Livestreams that cut out, lag, or deliver poor audio and video quality

  • Volunteers and staff feeling stressed instead of supported by the tech

These issues don’t just cause frustration — they interrupt the flow of worship and pull focus away from the message.

We Design AV Systems That Work — Every Sunday

Technology that supports the moment — not the other way around.

Alison Technical Concepts designs and installs audiovisual systems specifically for worship environments, with a focus on clarity, reliability, and stewardship.

Our approach ensures your system:

  • Delivers clear, consistent sound throughout your space

  • Provides bright, readable visuals for lyrics, scripture, and messages

  • Supports dependable, high-quality live streaming

  • Fits your budget while planning wisely for future growth

  • Reduces technical stress for pastors, staff, and volunteers

Let your technology fade into the background, so your congregation can stay focused on what truly matters.

FAQs

What does the process of working with ATC look like?

We start with a discovery call to understand your needs and make sure we’re a good fit to work together. Ready to schedule that call? Click here to set a meeting on our schedule. If necessary we’ll follow that up with a site visit. Within a couple of weeks, we will provide a design and proposal for your review. Depending on your needs, there may be an engineering deposit required for us to produce a full design. Want to see a sample of the document you’ll receive? Click here to request. After approval, we’ll work together to establish schedules that fit your needs- payment, procurement, installation and training. Our team then proceeds to execute within this framework, and the results are guaranteed to satisfy. You’ll be enjoying your new systems, complete with our hassle-free warranty, before you know it.

You’ve mentioned some pretty premium concepts. How affordable are your solutions?

We believe in delivering premium services and systems for a fair price. The majority of our customers are churches under 500 seats, so we are familiar with working within the financial limitations that can come with smaller congregations. Open, honest dialogue about your ministry’s budget and limitations are best for everyone concerned. While we cannot donate our time or materials, we can provide you with supporting materials to help cast vision in your congregation and community and aid in fundraising efforts.

Will you train my team on using this system?

Absolutely! Not only do we provide training and encourage note taking, we will provide you with a private shareable link to video of the training so you can use it over and over again as a refresher or with new members of your team.

What things should I consider when picking an AV contractor?

Price isn’t the first (or even last) thing to consider. The contractor with the best reputation selling the best equipment usually won’t be in your bottom 2 bids! Here are things to keep in mind-

Not all product is created equal. Ask your contractor why they chose what they chose. If the project is large enough or warrants it, ask them for a demo. Professional contractors can usually supply product demos for what they recommend through their regional sales representative. Bonus- getting to meet the regional representative for the product you’re considering. They  are a treasure trove of knowledge and can often offer information about their relationship with your contractor.

Relationship and community. You’ll be working with your contractor to achieve the goals that you’ve set out. It’s important that you like being around your key contact with them! This will make the project go smoother for everyone.

Good contractors will typically cost more because they provide more. Insurance requirements, warranty, after hours support- all of these things cost $. It’s easy to bring the cost down if you leave off the extras that aren’t so extra!

Knowledge costs money. Instead of looking at the bottom dollar, look at what your contractor knows. What certifications do they carry? What experience in worship environments do they have? It would cost you a LIFETIME to acquire their knowledge and wisdom, and now you have the opportunity to gain access to it for a few extra dollars.

The cheap guys may not be there when you need them most. If they’ve made a living undercutting legitimate contractors, they’re operating from sheer volume of business. They may not be around- either too busy with the next customer to pay last month’s bills, or just out of business- when you need them most! AV Contractors tend to charge an upcharge for servicing projects that they didn’t do (and rightfully so), so at this point you’ve definitely not saved any money by choosing the low bid!

Do not confuse small contracting companies for cheap or inexperienced companies. They are 2 different things! The small contractor can typically offer a more reasonable labor rate because he doesn’t have the overhead of a large impressive building and middle management but will likely be more expensive overall because he needs to make margin on the equipment and doesn’t have a large overseas purchasing department to negotiate his deals for him. A well- referenced small contractor can and often does provide better service overall- he’s got an intimate relationship with his company’s reputation! He also likely really cares about your ministry and will often go above and beyond for that reason if none other.

Your business also means more to them and, if they are local, puts money back in your community’s economy instead of sending it elsewhere. This benefits your entire congregation much more than saving a few measly dollars on a sticker price.

Can you explain your pricing policy?

The price listed in your proposal is the final price. We don’t break pricing down by individual parts, just like a car dealer doesn’t list the price of every component.

We sell complete, integrated systems and don’t compete in “race to the bottom” pricing. We also won’t create designs that are shared with other contractors to undercut our work.

At our discretion, we can provide manufacturer-suggested retail prices for major components. At the end of the project, we also provide a list of installed equipment, serial numbers, and replacement costs for insurance purposes.

We are building a new sanctuary. When should we get ATC involved?

We should be involved as soon as you pick an architect. This way we can support you and your architect in room details as they pertain to your media systems (acoustics, sightlines, physical space requirements, etc) as well as have all of the pertinent information on the bidding plan set for your contractors. This prevents additional cost by avoiding change orders from your general and specialties contractors.

What considerations will you take into account when designing my system?

Worship style. This has a direct impact on the type of audio and video system that you need!

Congregation size. Getting the most bang for your buck is best done by custom tailoring a solution that fits your congregation.

Average congregation age. This helps determine how large video screens need to be, what kind of ancillary support systems are required (i.e. assistive listening systems) and what the general aesthetic should reflect.

Architectural and furnishing design. We support the style of your ministry by complementing these elements with our component choice and placement. Some rules cannot be broken (i.e. you have to see a loudspeaker to be able to hear it) but we can take great care to not detract from the aesthetic you’ve cultivated.

Long term plans. Do you have a 5 year expansion or building program, but need a solution for your existing space now? We can design systems to grow and move with you!

Personnel. Flawless system installation does no good if it wasn’t designed to be used by the people who need to use it. Whether you have a dedicated media team with tons of experience, or are solo in your ministry, we design solutions that fit you.

Budget. Everybody’s least favorite part, but very much a reality. While we believe its in our best interest (and yours!) to not use cheap knockoff equipment, we can provide proven solutions that meet the most stringent stewardship requirements.
